From Concept to Classroom: BLINC Course and BENEFIT Platform Ready for Dissemination
The BLINC training week was organized and hosted by the EKA University of Applied Sciences from June 24 to 28, 2024 in Riga, Latvia. Here’s a summary of what took place during the training week:
Day 1: Current Project State and Points of Attention
On June 25, 2024, the team reviewed the outcomes of WP3 and WP4, focusing on the quality of the BENEFIT platform and BLINC course. Key points included:
- Ensuring open access to the BLINC course and BENEFIT platform for partner institutions.
- Addressing pedagogical use of the BENEFIT platform in academic settings.
- Gathering feedback from lecturers and students with special needs.
- Preparing for the August online dissemination activity (WP5).
Day 2: Internal Validation of BLINC Training Week
On June 26, 2024, the internal validation of the BLINC intensive course program began, focusing on Modules 2 and 3.
Day 3: Continued Validation
On June 27, 2024, the validation continued with Modules 4 and 5.
Overall Findings:
- The BLINC course covered conceptual origins, academic demand, content quality, structure, interactivity, methodological aspects, language, and improvement points.
- The three-day module-based training allowed detailed reviews and discussions.
- Key improvements identified: language aspects, more interactive assignments, and better pedagogical explanations for using the BENEFIT platform.
Participant Feedback:
- Participants rated the training highly, with scores between 4 and 4.5 out of 5.
- Module 4 requires further refinement in terms of structure, content, and usefulness.
- Participants found the course highly engaging and would recommend it.
Conclusion:
The BLINC course is ready to be shared with BENEFIT stakeholders, thanks to its high quality and engaging organization. The positive feedback indicates strong potential for future dissemination and use.
